Brian joined Hayden Consultants, Inc. in August 2010. A Registered Professional Land Surveyor since 1986, Brian has over 25 years of experience in the surveying and engineering field. He holds multiple TxDOT precertifications.
Before joining Hayden Consultants, Brian worked with Bohannan Huston, Inc. from 2006 to 2010, in Dallas and NTB Associates, Inc. prior to that. He has extensive experience in land surveying management, computer operations, and site layout for local, state and federal roadway and airport projects. He has served as project manager on survey contracts for TxDOT in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Tyler, Paris, Atlanta and Waco Districts and has assisted in the Houston District. In these roles he performed boundary determinations, topographic surveys, right-of-way determinations, on and off system bridge surveys, prepared topography and right-of- way/parcel maps.
Brian personally developed and programmed software for translation of data-collected fieldwork directly to AutoCAD or MicroStation, and has developed office and field standards to maximize efficiency of field and office production. He also has a strong working knowledge of programs such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Softdesk, Civil3D, Land Development Desktop, Geopak, Trimble Geomatic Office, Trimble Total Control, Pathfinder Office, and Javad Pinnacle. Additionally, he has significant experience performing RTK GPS and Static GPS surveys.
Brian’s continuing professional education with the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS) includes studies on boundary law, land surveying computations, easement law, and liability and malpractice law. His TxDOT precertifications include: parcel plats; legal descriptions; right of way maps; design and construction survey, and horizontal and vertical control for aerial mapping.
