Daphne, a Professional Engineer with experience in design and project management, joined Hayden Consultants in 2007.
From 2003 to 2007, Daphne was employed at Carter & Burgess (now Jacobs), where she developed scopes, budgets, and schedules for the North Texas Tollway Authority, as well as provided design review, project oversight, rail line horizontal and vertical alignments, and drainage design for Dallas Area Rapid Transit.
Her career at Hayden Consultants has focused on design of municipal projects, including street reconstruction and widening, as well as utility coordination and design. Daphne is efficient in providing design review and project oversight for roadway maintenance and construction projects, as well as in the design of drainage facilities, including floodplain modeling.
Currently Daphne is an active member of American Society of Civil Engineers, the Texas District of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and Texas Society of Professional Engineers, of which she serves as Education Chair in the Preston Trails Chapter. She has also received training in utilities coordination; brownfield redevelopment; business and technical writing; revising local plans, codes and ordinances; and water harvesting.
Daphne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2002. Daphne is active with the Preston Trail Chapter of Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE). She has served as the Career Days Chair since 2009, and is currently serving her first year as Chapter Director. Daphne received the 2011 Young Engineer of the Year award from the Preston Trail Chapter of TSPE.
