Colin Blankenship

A design engineer and project manager with more than 15 years of experience, Colin Blankenship prepares construction plans, specifications and estimates for Hayden Consultants’ public infrastructure and private development projects, including roadway, drainage, and transit projects. He is responsible for more than $2 billion in project work, including more than 60 miles of railroad and transit design, oversight, and quality control.

Named 2012 Young Engineer of the Year by the Dallas Chapter of the American Society of Engineers, Colin specializes in hydrologic analysis, hydraulic modeling, erosion control, detention basin design, and scour analysis. As a certified floodplain manager (CFM) in Texas with extensive understanding of the National Floodplain Insurance Program, Blankenship also helps prepare Letters of Map Amendment, Letters of Map Revision, and other documents used to revise Flood Insurance Rate Maps.
