On March 22, 2000, Rachel Hayden, PE, founded the award-winning Hayden Consultants, after 10 years as a consulting engineer in the transportation industry. Her goal was to provide a great place for people to work toward a common mission: to make a difference in the quality of life of all people by designing public infrastructure with the future in mind.
Rachel is passionate about leading the next generation of engineers to embrace creative problem solving through in-house design challenges in a low-risk environment. The innovative and forward-thinking culture at Hayden Consultants is reflected in the company’s mission statement: Designing Today for Tomorrow’s Communities.
Rachel has served in leadership positions for numerous professional organizations. These positions include her current role as Chair of ACEC Texas, as well as past positions as President of ASCE Dallas Branch, President of ACEC Dallas Chapter, and co-chair of NCTCOG Sustainable Public Rights of Way. She also serves on the Texas A&M University Civil Engineering Advisory Council and is a trustee on the ACEC Business Insurance Trust.
