Hayden was responsible for the trail design and drainage improvements for this 3,000 LF of meandering trail in wooded areas. Included in the project’s scope was horizontal and vertical trail alignment design, barrier free ramps and grading design meeting TDLR requirements. Hayden conducted a hydraulic analysis to determine drainage areas and storm water flow entering the park to design a hydraulic model for a low water crossing beneath an existing hike and bike trail. Hayden proposed several erosion control options for an existing culvert, including gabion mats, pavers and rip rap. New site amenities included water fountains, basketball goals and sports benches.
